Imma do this one right now since I’m up, & I just purchased this song a few hours ago. Song of the Day: Usher’s “Climax.” Idk the name of the album this is off of, I’m lazy, idc. I love the song because it reminds me of the vibe of Confessions. It’s basically him & the beat, but it showcases his vocals where the beat isn’t overpowering his vocals. It’s very intimate & sensual. I loved Usher last album (I felt it was very versatile, he incorporated his R&B/Urban roots, & his new electro/dance sound) but I wasn’t really into him like that these last few years. After he did “Here I Am” he sorta lost me. I’m not one to say change it bad especially when it’s in your real life & it’s inevitable, but “Here I Am” was boring. I wanted to burn that thing into oblivion. I was so mad I bought it, & my best friend said it was good. I’m thinkin in my head, “girl bye.” lol. I love how Usher uses his falsetto in this song, FLAWLESS! Plus he belts pretty good here (just a bit) & dips into his lower register a bit.
